creativity

Be bold; in a subtle, elegant kind of way.
Be unique; but also mysterious and nonchalant.
Step outside the box, if you wish but never leave the room.
Colour outside the lines but stay on the page.

“Creativity must run free; go wild!”
Or does it only exist within certain parameters; thriving at the mere attempt to maneuver around them?

Is creativity only known because we are accustomed to life’s rules?
Do we only appreciate it when our minds feel dull; imprisoned by routine and lacklustre thoughts?
Polarising as it may be, perhaps the one’s absence is only noticed during the other’s presence.
And vice versa.
